The episode ended with Patrick’s fate hanging in the balance as the other members of the party quickly rushed to his aid and radioed for emergency help.</div>

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Dan spoke about the incident: “I think that is one of the worst things I have seen, I felt physically sick. I felt awful. The problem is we had to get out and search for food as we were starving. We’d exhausted all our supplies.”</div>
<div style="border: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-top: 1em; padding: 0px; transform: none;">
Dan, 41, was heading up the group and had chosen to trek around the rocky coastal terrain of the island rather than venturing through the jungle due to the humidity, dangerous animals and the chances of getting lost and running out of water. </div>

“It was all going well until I had this awful feeling - overwhelming, uneasy feeling about this situation. It just felt wrong. I said: ‘Stop, guys. This isn’t right. This isn’t right. Stop, let’s go back and they ignored me,” he explained.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-top: 1em; padding: 0px; transform: none;">
Dan continued: “And then of course disaster struck and Paddy fell off the cliff. I couldn’t believe what I had seen and I deal with the aftermath of serious and even fatal accidents on a daily basis. But seeing it happen, seeing the actual process of the accident happening took my breath away. </div>
